Designed by Ralph Plummer in 1956, who has designed, built, or remodeled hundreds of golf courses including three that hosted U.S. Opens.  Mr. Plummer had tenure with Byron Nelson, Jimmy  Demaret, and Jackie Burke.  Houston Oaks is a traditional course with thousands of century-old oak trees throughout the property.  It is short in length but very challenging with small push-up greens and penalizing bermuda thick rough.
